| Salary Range: | $155,000 – $175,000 |
Essential Functions
- Works closely with company reservoir engineers to track and automate workflows
- Reserves support – building, running, and quality control (QC) of ARIES databases with guidance from senior reservoir staff
- Construct and maintain databases used for analysis of production, expense, revenue, etc.
- Prepare analyses using data analysis tools like Excel and Spotfire
- Organize and present analyses and data outputs in graphical and presentation form
- Acquisition evaluations – build ARIES databases, gather and verify data, run preliminary economic analysis and metrics
- Compiles data, builds and maintains databases to support to reservoir engineer in annual type curve review process
- Utilize ARIES to generate AFEs and supporting documentation
- Create empirical models for reservoir forecasting
- Maintain databases for production data, and reservoir performance metrics.
- Assist in preparing technical reports, presentations, and regulatory documentation.
- Monitor reservoir performance to identify opportunities for operational improvements.
- Collaborate with geologists, drilling teams, and production engineers to integrate data for comprehensive reservoir analysis
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skill set, with a curiosity to keep learning
- Ability to compile and present data clearly using the best available tools
- Proficiency in Excel required, exposure to database tools (Access, SQL) strongly preferred
- Programming background and aptitude (experience or education) strongly preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical reporting and presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with AutoCAD or ArcGIS is advantageous.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying environmental conditions and travel to remote sites as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field
- 4+ years of experience with an upstream operator; experience in the DJ Basin strongly preferred.
