Job Summary
The Senior Land Technician performs a variety of tasks in support of the assigned department under minimal supervision. This position is responsible for providing support to Land professionals on the Land Team, in the DJ Basin.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Assist company Landmen in the well preparation process (leasing, title, permitting, curative, statutory pooling, etc.)
  • Coordinate, organize, and analyze land information flow with other team members, including Land Admin;
  • Preparation of correspondence as it relates to team activity
  • Preparation of operated and non-operated agreements (Declaration of Pooling, Confidentiality Agreements, Affidavits, Joint Operating Agreements, etc.)
  • Preparation of operated well proposals and process non-operated proposals
  • Review and monitor leases and contracts as set up by Land Administration
  • Utilize company tools (Quorum ODL, Weld County Eagle Web, etc.) for data extraction and analysis
  • Conduct research and maintain an advanced understanding of Colorado ECMC rules and regulations
  • Review Division Order Interests/Division Order Title Opinions to prepare well setup packages for new wells and as needed
  • All essential functions as identified by manager
  • Provides training and mentorship to less experienced Land Technicians

  • Requires advanced knowledge of job-related experience and position specific skills;
  • Requires advances computer skills (including Microsoft 365 suite) and knowledge of a variety of discipline specific software;

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in an energy related field preferred
  • 5-10 years of related experience required, DJ Basin experience preferred.
