Senior Division Order Analyst

This role serves as a key subject matter expert within Land Administration and works closely with Revenue Accounting, Legal, and Operations to ensure accurate ownership records, regulatory compliance, and efficient business processes. In addition to traditional Division Order responsibilities, this position will play an important role in process documentation, workflow improvement, and continued optimization of Quorum OnDemand.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical Division Order expertise with a practical, solutions-oriented approach to process improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
- Analyze title opinions, leases, deeds, probate documents, assignments, and other ownership instruments to determine ownership interests.
- Establish and maintain accurate Revenue and JIB ownership decks for operated and non-operated assets.
- Process ownership transfers, title curative matters, pay code updates, and complex ownership changes.
- Prepare and distribute Division Orders and Transfer Orders.
- Resolve ownership discrepancies, suspense issues, and revenue-related inquiries.
- Ensure ownership and deck integrity within Quorum OnDemand.
- Partner with Land, Revenue Accounting, and Legal teams to support ownership administration and revenue reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, controls, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and training materials.
- Support ongoing Quorum OnDemand optimization and data quality initiatives.
- Assist with acquisition and divestiture projects, audits, and special projects as needed.
- Serve as a Division Order subject matter expert within the organization.
- Provide guidance, training, and quality review support for team members and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Promote consistency, accountability, and best practices across Division Order processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Energy Management, or related field (or equivalent experience) is preferred.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in Division Order and Ownership Administration.
- Strong understanding of oil and gas ownership, revenue distribution, title interpretation, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with Quorum OnDemand or comparable upstream land and accounting systems.
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex ownership issues and competing priorities.
- Experience developing process documentation and supporting operational improvement initiatives preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- DJ Basin ownership and Division Order experience.
- Operated and non-operated asset experience.
- Acquisition, divestiture, and due diligence support.
- Quorum OnDemand implementation, optimization, or conversion experience.
- Cross-functional collaboration with Land, Accounting, and Legal teams.
