Job Summary
The Field EHS Compliance Specialist supports the environmental, health and safety, compliance across field operations in Colorado. This is a hands-on, field-based role (approximately 80% field / 20% office) working closely with EHS, Regulatory, and Operations teams to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations. This role focuses on managing and executing field EHS programs, supporting regulatory requirements, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining a strong field presence to drive safety and environmental performance.
 
Essential Functions
Field Operations & Compliance
  • Perform Bradenhead sampling in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Support:
    • ECD/engine testing
    • Gas and liquids sampling
  • Manage and lead LDAR program coordination and field execution
  • Support stormwater and SPCC compliance efforts in the field
  • Assist with interim and final reclamation activities
  • Conduct routine field inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
Field Support & Execution
  • Coordinate with vendors to execute field work and ensure compliance with company standards
  • Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting in the field as needed
  • Assist with general location upkeep and housekeeping
  • Support field-based environmental, regulatory, and operational projects
  • Complete and document field activities, sampling, and observations accurately
  • Promote safe work practices and actively participate in safety initiatives
  • Support incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Assist with field training, safety meetings, and safety stand-downs as needed
  • Identify hazards and work with operations to implement practical mitigation measures
 
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
  • Familiarity with ECMC and APCD rules and reporting requirements
  • Working knowledge of:
    • Stormwater management requirements
    • SPCC (Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure) programs
  • Experience with:
    • Bradenhead Testing and Sampling
    • ECD/engine testing
    • LDAR program support and coordination
    • Interim and final reclamation activities
  • Ability to coordinate and manage field vendors effectively
  • Ability to perform minor maintenance and hands-on field tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and ability to work cross-functionally
 
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in oil & gas field EHS or operations support
  • Experience working within Colorado regulatory frameworks

Other requirements
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Colorado for site inspections.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
This position is critical for maintaining the safety culture within oil and gas operations while ensuring full compliance with environmental laws.
